College Dorm Survival Kit for University of Memphis Students

Tiger Bookstore wants to welcome all the new and returning University of Memphis students!  U of M students begin moving into campus dorms this weekend, so Tiger Bookstore has compiled a list of some often forgotten items for your back to school college dorm survival kit.
  • Over-the-counter remedies for headaches and body aches, such as Tylenol, Aleve, or Advil
  • Hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin,  first-aid cream,  alcohol 
  • Pepto Bismol
  • Airborne (a natural medication to help ward colds away)
  • Anti-bacterial gel
  • Band-Aids in a variety of sizes and shapes
  • Gauze and medical tape
  • Compresses or gel ice packs
  • Portable tissue packs or tissue boxes
  • Cough drops
  • Flashlight
  • Alarm clock (always have a back up to your cell phone alarm)
  • Extra batteries (back up your alarm clock with batteries!)
  • Small toolbox
  • Duct Tape
  • Mini-safe or lock box for your valuables
  • All your phone numbers written down in the case you lose your cell phone
  • Extra cell phone charger (wireless cell phone charger would be even better)
  • Earplugs
  • Flip flops or water shoes for communal bathrooms and showers
  • Extension cords and surge protectors
  • Small fan
  • Febreze
  • Wrinkle Release Spray
  • Snacks like dried fruit, nuts, pretzels, crackers
  • Extra paper, printer cartridges and USB drives
  • Bottle and can opener
  • Quarters for laundry facilities and vending machines
